Composition of the Anti - Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee is a vital component of educational institutions offering B.Pharm. and D.Pharm. courses. Its establishment and functioning are mandated by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) in alignment with the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations. The committee's primary role is to prevent and address any incidents of ragging, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is established with the core objective of eradicating the menace of ragging from the educational institution. Ragging, in any form, is considered a grave violation of a student’s dignity and human rights.

The Anti-Ragging Committee comprises a convener and faculty members, along with a nodal officer, the local Police Sub-Inspector (PSI), and representatives from both the student body and guardians. Given that student admissions for both B.Pharm and D.Pharm programs have yet to commence, the current Anti-Ragging Committee will operate without representatives from the student body and guardians. Once admissions are finalized, these positions will be filled to ensure comprehensive representation and involvement in the committee’s activities.
